The pearls are beautiful and as advertised, that's what's really important. For the price point, a nicer presentation box seems appropriate, and some form of shipping protection--the box shipped in a padded envelope and was crushed on arrival.

This necklace is beautiful and it delivered the level of quality that was stated in their Amazon description. I had researched comparable pearl jewelry in retail stores and nothing came close to both price and quality. On that note, I had stopped at a 5th Av (NYC) Bloomindales who had similar sized Akoya pearls for more than double the price, but compared to this one the coating and luster was crap. The only reason I say 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are some MINOR flaws in the pearl, truly unnoticeable unless you're holding them inches from your face and examining them under good light. I suppose that's the difference between these and pearls that are $300 more...
I've heard that eventually (after a year or two) the stringing wears out as well; I don't know if that's true, I suppose we'll see. I'm very satisfied; these are beautiful pearls.
